A Lenten Series in Luke's Gospel

This year our Lenten theme, “Everything In Between,” comes from A Sanctified Art. Join us to navigate the polarities in our lives with more faith, intention, and openness to be transformed.  Look beyond black and white binaries and easy answers. We encourage you to take in the art, poetry, and reflections, imagining where God might be meeting us beyond the categories we create. This Lent, we're trusting that God shows up in shades of gray, rainbow hues, and everywhere in between.

What is Lent?

The season of Lent is a time of prayer, fasting and self-examination in preparation for the celebration of the resurrection of the Lord at Easter. It is a period of 40 days — like the flood of Genesis, Moses’ sojourn at Mount Sinai, Elijah’s journey to Mount Horeb, Jonah’s call to Nineveh to repent and Jesus’ time of testing in the wilderness. The Sundays in Lent are not counted in the 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter, as every Lord’s Day is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
